DOES POLYGAMY A CULTURE TO ZUMA

Four's a crowd: Mr Zuma poses with his three other wives (from left) Nompumelo Ntuli, Thobeka Mabhija and Sizakele Khumalo. All were at the wedding to his fourth current spouse
Since Democratisation we experience many changes than before. We live in the current era where every individual has a free will to do what he or she intended to do. Looking to the current issue of the president of the republic of South Africa Jacob Zuma, marrying a sixth wife. In South Africa is allowed to Marie more than one wife, but this practise in some societies is not accepted. The reason behind this is the increase number of diseases that surrounded South Africa from elder people to the young generation. My concern is on the president as a public figure what message he trying to share by having more than one wife, in terms of all the campaign that cover the limitation of the  HIV/AIDS. This is not a culture in this modern life, in terms of economy many wife’s and many children’s lead to poverty, and something’s may lead to poor education.
According to JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's polygamous President Jacob  taking his long-time girlfriend Bongi Ngema as his newest bride and fourth current wife in a private ceremony at his rural home .I think the only  thing that matter in this form it may be the culture to the President, where else the wife’s are looking for the tax payers, and does the President Jacob Zuma has the crucial time to discuss idea's with his wife and children’s.

  3. i think Zuma is taking advantage of the fact that his the president and the things he dopes are just a contradiction to the values of the nation. we as a nation we say that we wanna stop the spread of HIV but with our president marring so many wife does he contradict him self or is he using protection with all his wife? Zuma is just sending a wrong message to the public

  5. i think it is a choice to marry more than one wife, which i find very strange because Zuma does not even have time to spend with his family and he is old now to be getting married again.

  6. Well I dont think there is anything wrong with having more than one wife, I mean there are people who say it is wrong but on what grounds? My argument for it not being wrong is that even in biblical times men had multiple wives. So why is it wrong suddenly because even in the bible men had multiple wives?

  8. I personaly feel that Mr President is starting to abuse his position. This brings the question of culture and being a leader. I wonder if he was not a president would the 4th wife agree to marry a 70 year old with 21 children and 3 wives. This is WRONG!

  9. Actually this is not about the Presidential position, you cant abandone your culture because of people's perceptions, the president is practising his culture and there's nothinmg wrong doing that..that's true African man.

  11. I don't have anything against the President following his culture, my main concern is the fact that he is using the states money to pay for all these weddings which are very expensive. Jacob Zuma is using the tax payers hard earned money to pay for his polygamy ways of living and to me that should not be how a person labelled as the president of the contry should be behaving.
